Anne-Laure Lestage (1987, FR) is a curator-at-large, freelance artistic director and art historian based in France, and a graduate of the École du Louvre in Paris. With 15 years of experience in the fields of contemporary art, craft and culture, she specializes in the conception, art direction and management of exhibitions, conferences, workshops, scenographies and residency programmes. Her curatorial practice explores the intersections between contemporary art, decorative arts, ecology and craftsmanship, with a particular interest in the relationship between the art world and the domestic sphere, addressing contemporary social and ecological issues through these intersections. She regularly collaborates with museums and art institutions in France and internationally, including Villa Empain – Boghossian Foundation Brussels, Les Vitrines – Institut français de Berlin, Les Ateliers des Arques, HEAR, Le Bel Ordinaire, CND Pantin, Magasins Généraux and CRAC Sète. In 2019, she founded a mano studio in the Basque Country, a curatorial platform dedicated to handmade objects that has since evolved into a travelling initiative. From 2026 to 2029, she serves on the acquisitions committee of Les Abattoirs – Musée FRAC Occitanie Toulouse as advisor for contemporary art, decorative arts and crafts collection.
